“We are extremely honored that the McKelvey Foundation has chosen FyeBye Magazine as a vehicle to reach and inform youth of their programs and scholarship opportunities,” Griffin said.
Andy McKelvey, founder of Telephone Marketing Programs (TMP), founded The McKelvey Foundation, which in 2008 will award 100 youth entrepreneurs with scholarships of up to $10,000/year for four years.
In 2007, FyeBye Magazine publisher, Brandon L. Griffin was among the 52 youth entrepreneurs who received the scholarship. BLG Publishing, publisher of three national business publications for youth announces the addition of a new “Special College Advertising Department”
within its signature publication, FyeBye Magazine.
Publisher and President of BLG Publishing, Brandon L. Griffin, started his first business at the age of 10 (Griffin Household Press) and his second at the age of 12 (Quality Web Solutions). Griffin founded FyeBye Magazine, which also stands for For Young Entrepreneurs…By Young Entreprenuers, at the age of 16; a publication which empowers youth to use their skills, hobbies, talents, knowledge, and the skills of entrepreneurship to improve the quality of life for themselves, their families, and their communities.
“This year proves to be an exciting one for BLG Publishing and FyeBye Magazine. In November/December 2007 we will celebrate our One-Year Anniversary. Our One-Year Anniversary Issue will reach more than 60,000 students around the country. In our January/February 2008 issue we hope to reach 110,000 more youth, primarily in the State of Indiana on a bi-monthly basis,” says Griffin, “…that’s more than 1 million students within the period of our six bi-monthly issues.”
In response to the suggestions given to the company by its International Youth Advisory Board, BLG Publishing will launch two additional magazines in the fall: Jr. CEO Magazine (for elementary readers) and P.O.C.E. Magazine.com (an online publication for college students). Youth Advisory Board Members also requested more colleges and scholarships to become exposed in the magazine, as the need to consider more educational institutions and funding continues to increase for youth.
Griffin hopes a promotional discount will encourage universities to take action, “We are allowing educational institutions to receive up to 80% off of our standard advertising rates if they advertise in our new Special College Advertising Department of FyeBye Magazine.“
Educational institutions are encouraged to contact publisher, Brandon L. Griffin, directly for more information and details. The promotion will only be extended to institutions in the month of November, and may not be extended.
